Description:

Hops blended well with citrus flavors from sorghum and overall bitterness helped mask some of the metallic flavors. Very smooth, good hop balance, easy to drink.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs 8.0 oz BriesSweet White Sorghum Syrup 45 DE High Maltose (3.0 SRM)
  • 2 lbs Rice Syrup Solids (7.0 SRM)
  • 1 lbs Candi Sugar, Amber D-45 (45.0 SRM)
  • 2.1 oz Goldings, East Kent [5.0%] - Boil 45 min
  • 1.0 oz Ahtanum [5.2%] - Boil 10 min
  • 8.00 oz Malto-Dextrine (Boil 5 min)
  • 1 pkgs Safale US-05

Additional Instructions

Primary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees
Secondary Ferment: 7 days at 68 degrees

Procedure:

Bring water to boil, and primary fermentable sugars, return to boil and achieve hot break.
Add hops and remaining fermentable sugars according to schedule.
Chill wort until appropriate temperature to pitch yeast.
